ISRO has slated Chandrayaan-4 for 2028 launch in collaboration with Japan. The mission will attempt a more complex lunar landing using a 6,800-kg lander and a 350-kg rover designed for deeper surface studies and longer operations. Building on Chandrayaan-3, it marks India's most ambitious lunar mission yet, alongside plans for space station by 2035 and human Moon missions by 2040.
