Maharashtra government has accused Pune Municipal Corporation of polluting the Ujjani dam by releasing untreated sewage water and pressed to clear dues of ₹722 crore. State minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil stated that the PMC should recycle 80% of its water, but is only managing 30%. BJP legislator Hemant Rasane said, "There's a dispute between PMC and the state water resource department."
