India's Priteesmita Bhoi created a new weightlifting world youth record at the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Manama, Bahrain. Priteesmita successfully lifted 92kg in the clean and jerk section of the girls' 44kg category, winning a gold medal in the section. She also won a silver medal with a 66kg lift on her first attempt.
