A study published in journal iScience, titled 'Cats are (almost) liquid!', stated that cats are able to utilise an unusual awareness of their own body shape and size to fit into tightest of spaces. Cats slowed down before passing through the shortest of the narrow openings and seemed to assess their own anatomical features, as per the study.
