Saurabh Sethi, gastroenterologist trained at AIIMS, Harvard, and Stanford University, said skipping breakfast and having coffee before anything can trigger acid buildup. He stated that most 'clean' cereals hide sugars and they can spike blood sugar and irritate gut. High-fat coffee, eating on the run, overdoing juices and ignoring hydration can also harm the gut, Sethi added.
