Gold prices hit a fresh all-time high on Wednesday, breaching the ₹1.22 lakh/10 gram-mark for the first time as the yellow metal continues its record rally. MCX gold futures with December expiry surged to a peak of ₹1,22,735/10 gram. Notably, gold spot prices $4,000 (about ₹3.55 lakh)/ounce for the first time ever on Tuesday, as per World Gold Council data.
