Amid tensions with Afghanistan, Pakistan's Sindh government evicted 18,000–20,000 Afghan refugees from Karachi, where they'd been living since 1983, News18 reported. Authorities cleared the settlement after Defence Minister Khawaja Asif ordered all Afghans to leave the country. Pakistan had launched airstrikes towards Afghanistan, accusing Kabul of harbouring Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants.
