The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture had warned in August that automation systems at major airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, faced performance degradation, slowness, and system lag. The warning proved true after a technical glitch disrupted Delhi's Air Traffic Control (ATC) system on Friday. Over 800 flights were reportedly delayed, and 20 were cancelled.
