A 3,000-year-old gold bracelet has disappeared from the restoration laboratory of Cairo's Egyptian Museum, said Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The rare gold band, adorned with spherical lapis lazuli beads, dates back to the reign of King Amenemope, a pharaoh who ruled from 993-984BC. A nationwide search is underway to prevent it from being smuggled out of Egypt.
