Ahead of release, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanded India's official entry to Oscars 2026, 'Homebound', to make 11 cuts to receive its certification. A Bollywood Hungama report claims the Revising Committee muted and replaced words in six different scenes. Further, 32 seconds of footage has been reportedly edited out. The film received U/A 16+ certificate on September 12.
