The Supreme Court on Friday said its August 11 order, which directed that stray dogs be permanently shifted to shelters, was "too harsh". The court said the order was passed without a "necessary look at the infrastructure and human resources available with the municipal bodies". In its modified order, the court said dogs must be released after vaccination and sterilisation.
