Chhindwara unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has defended senior MP paediatrician Dr Praveen Soni, who was arrested for prescribing alleged toxic Coldrif cough syrup. The syrup has been linked to 16 kids' deaths. Warning of indefinite strike if Dr Soni isn't released, IMA's Kalpana Shukla questioned why clean chit was given to the cough syrup's maker Sresan.
