Talking about his 1998 movie 'Zakhm', director Mahesh Bhatt said that the movie "gave him back his dignity after a spate of forgettable films". "This was my last directorial venture before I laid down the baton, my final offering as a filmmaker," Bhatt added. "Ajay Devgn gave his soul to this movie, earning his first National Award," he further said.
