The Bombay High Court's Aurangabad bench has instructed a woman to provide a voice sample in a domestic violence case, recognising the increasing importance of electronic evidence. Justice Shailesh Brahme noted, "Due to the advent of technology, electronic evidence is replacing conventional evidence." The court has directed that the voice sample be sent to a forensic laboratory for verification.
