Zohran Mamdani, who became New York City's new mayor, is married to Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist. Duwaji has lived in US and Gulf while growing up. Her works have been featured in The New Yorker, The Washington Post, BBC, Vogue. She met Mamdani on dating app Hinge in 2021 and they got married in 2025 in a courthouse wedding.
