Scientists have revealed that an underground phenomenon in Oman changed the direction of India around 40 million years ago. The research was published in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters and stated that 'ghost' plume (plume that doesn't trigger volcanic eruption) under Oman moved India to where it is today. The research found that the plume is trapped.
