Scientists have recorded sharks actively making noise for the first time, a loud clicking sound made by the rig sharks (Mustelus lenticulatus) by snapping their teeth, according to a study published in Royal Society Open Science. For years, sharks have had the reputation of being silent killers as they lack sound-producing organs found in many other fish.
