Actor Mushtaq Khan, in an interview with Filmymantra Media, recalled he was paid less than Akshay Kumar's staff in 'Welcome'. "For us (character artists), it was fixed that we'd do the film for ₹1 lakh, whether it took 20 or 25 days...but...staff work on per-day basis," he stated. They keep extending shoot days without increasing our payment, he further said.
