RSS National General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that our country should be called Bharat and not India as it is an English term. "PM Narendra Modi himself referred to the country as the 'Republic of Bharat' on an invite for an event," Hosabale added. He also criticised institutions like Reserve Bank of India for carrying "colonial" name.
