Indian-origin Tesla Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Vaibhav Taneja has been appointed as Treasurer and Custodian of Records of Elon Musk's new political party 'America Party', as per a Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing. Taneja has been Tesla's CFO since 2023. Musk announced the party after fallout with US President Donald Trump over the latter's 'Big Beautiful Bill'.
