Male leopard seals have been found to sing underwater songs with structures similar to nursery rhymes during their demanding breeding season performances, according to a new study. These seals perform the songs from October-January for 13 hours/day, diving in two-minute cycles to sing underwater before surfacing for air. Songs of each male are unique and often signal dominance or fitness.
