The Delhi AQI on Friday spiked to 242 at 5:30 am, remaining in the 'poor' air quality category. Areas like Anand Vihar, Wazirpur, Bawana, Dwarka Sector 8 and Jahangirpuri recorded 'very poor' air quality with AQI at 370, 328, 309, 318 and 324 respectively. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the onset of smog conditions from Sunday.
