Italy passes law against femicide, criminals to get life sentence

Italian lower house of parliament unanimously passed a law introducing crime of femicide into Italy's criminal code, punishable by life in prison. Under the law, murders of women killed for misogynistic reasons will be defined as femicide. As per Interior Ministry, out of 73 murdered women more than half were killed by former/current partner this year.
