Mumbai's Somaiya School has sacked principal Parveen Shaikh, days after she was criticised for her social media activity, including liking pro-Hamas and pro-Palestine posts. Shaikh was earlier asked to resign after an OpIndia report highlighted her likes and posts on X. "We strongly support right to freedom of expression, yet...recognise that it's not absolute," said the school on firing her.
