A ₹11 crore worth of scam in the midday meal scheme has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur, resulting in FIRs against 44 people. Firoz Ahmad Khan, district coordinator of the scheme, is the main accused in the scam, who allegedly inflated student numbers to embezzle crores of rupees. Budgets were even allegedly issued to schools with no students.
