Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a compensation of ₹2 lakh each for families of the deceased in the stampede at Haridwar's Mansa Devi Temple. He also announced ₹50,000 for those injured in the incident. At least six people died, and many others were injured after the stampede occurred due to rumours of an electric shock near the temple.
