The NHAI is set to widen the Delhi-Dehradun highway from four to six lanes, with the UP government approving ₹3,000 crore for the project. The Meerut-Roorkee stretch will be upgraded first to ease severe congestion on the busy Partapur-Haridwar-Dehradun corridor. Drone surveys are nearly complete, and a Detailed Project Report is expected by March 2026.
