A raid by Lokayukta officials on a former clerk at the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL) revealed that he owned 24 houses, four plots and 40 acres of land. The ex-clerk, Kalakappa Nidagundi, earned ₹15,000 monthly and had unaccounted assets worth ₹30 crore. About 350 grams of gold, 1.5 kg of silver ornaments and four vehicles were also seized.
