Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah on Wednesday announced ₹6 lakh ex-gratia for the kin of those who died in the Mata Vaishno Devi landslide and other flood-related incidents in the UT in the past two days. People with severe and minor injuries will receive ₹1 lakh and ₹50,000, respectively. At least 36 people have reportedly died in the incidents.
