In Assam, the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Guwahati, has busted an ₹83-crore tax fraud involving Mukesh Agarwal. He is the owner of M/s Balaji Concast and M/s Balaji Steel Rolling Mills. Agarwal was arrested for clandestine manufacture and sale of MS Ingots and TMT Bars without GST invoices. He is in 14-day judicial custody as probe continues.
