An Ohio lawmaker has introduced a new bill that seeks to declare AI systems as "nonsentient" and ban them from marrying humans or other AI systems. This will help prevent AI from taking on roles commonly held by spouses, like holding power of attorney, Representative Thaddeus Claggett said. The bill prohibits AI systems from "ever being human in their agency".
