Music composer Salim Merchant recently revealed that the 'Chak De India' song became popular after it was played in the India-Pakistan match in the final of the T20I World Cup 2007. Salim, who composed the song with Sulaiman Merchant, stated that the song was rejected seven times, but they made it within just two hours after filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s brief.
