Leaders of Kargil Democratic Alliance questioned why Sonam Wangchuk was being linked to Pakistan just because he attended a climate change conference there. "If playing cricket matches with Pakistan is not a crime, why is this being politicised?" asked Sajjad Kargili of the alliance. Ladakh DGP had earlier said that they are investigating Wangchuk's alleged connection with a Pakistani operative.
