At the State Film Awards in Mysuru, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urged Kannada filmmakers not to make movies merely to claim subsidies but to focus on meaningful storytelling. He said cinema should inspire society and praised Dr Rajkumar as a real-life role model. The CM also confirmed plans to build a Film City in Mysuru.
