Reacting to RCB's maiden IPL victory, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said the slogan 'Ee Sala Cup Namde' (This year, the cup will be ours) became a "jinx" for the franchise. "Once it was toned down, things worked out," the 75-year-old added. Gavaskar further stated, "RCB have played top-class cricket throughout IPL 2025. Especially their last two–three performances were outstanding."
