Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis reacted to minister Nitesh Rane's remark that "Fadnavis is 'baap' (father) of everyone in the state." Fadnavis said he has asked Rane to avoid using such language and claimed the state fisheries and ports minister accepted his mistake. Rane made the remark at an event amid tensions between local units of BJP and Shiv Sena.
