The Supreme Court in Abhinav Mohan Delkar vs The State of Maharashtra clarified that for abetment to suicide, there must be an act immediately before the death that prompted the person to end their life. The court also noted that even if someone, out of anger, tells another to commit suicide and they do, it does not constitute abetment.
