External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar revealed he was in the room when PM Narendra Modi received US Vice-President JD Vance's call on May 9, amid India-Pakistan conflict. EAM said Vance warned about Pakistan launching "massive assault on India", adding, "PM was impervious...he indicated...there would be a response from us." He said trade deal and India-Pakistan ceasefire were not linked.
