French President Emmanuel Macron called Israel's settlement expansion plan in West Bank a "political project" aimed at undermining possibility of a two-state solution. "It's to deny Palestinian people's right to live in peace in the region," he added. Israel's West Bank settlement project involves constructing 3,400 homes across 12 square kilometres of land claimed by Palestinians for statehood.
