A third-year Jadavpur University student was found dead in a campus pond on Thursday night during a cultural festival. The English department student was last seen with classmates before being spotted in the water. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but declared dead. Police have launched an investigation, and the body has been sent for postmortem.
