'Kantara Chapter 1' has earned ₹554.5 crore in worldwide collection within 10 days of release, according to Sacnilk. However, the film may not even turn a profit for its production house Hombale Films until it reaches ₹900 crore worldwide, reported Great Andhra and Mana Telugu. Both reports claimed to base these high numbers on the film's massive distribution costs.
