Swuyievezo Dzudo, a 26-year-old postgraduate in botany from Nagaland's Phek district, built low-cost solar food dryer using bamboo, reused beer cans, UV sheets, and scrap wood to prevent food from spoilage. The dryer works completely off-grid, can dry 50 to 100 kilograms of produce in two to three days and preserves taste and colour.
