Commenting on US President Donald Trump's order to send National Guard to Democratic-led cities, ex-President Barack Obama said, "You don't use our military on domestic soil, unless there's an extraordinary emergency." Trump has previously ordered National Guard troops to be sent to Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC. He had argued that troops were needed to crack down on crime.
