A Class 4 handbook for teachers in Kerala falsely claimed that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose fled to Germany from India "fearing the British", before his INA stint. The error, which was flagged by teachers, was corrected by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). ABVP claimed it was CPI(M)'s attempt to manipulate "the younger generation with fake narratives".
