After the Maharashtra government withdrew its decision to make Hindi default language amid row, CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "We aren't against the Hindi language." He accused ex-CM Uddhav Thackeray of double standards, saying, "'Palturam' is the correct name for him…When they were in power, they had made mandatory the teaching of Hindi, which the Raghunath Mashelkar Committee recommended."
