Director AR Murugadoss spoke about box office failure of Salman Khan-starer 'Sikandar' and took responsibility for its underperformance. He said, "The base story's very emotional. It's about a king who doesn't truly understand his wife. The story was emotional, but I couldn't execute it well." He added, "I could pull off 'Ghajini' because it was a remake, not original script."
