YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested for alleged espionage, visited Kerala under state-funded influencer campaign to promote tourism, an RTI query has revealed. She was among 41 influencers whose travel, stay, and shoot were paid for by the government. "Everything was done transparently and in good faith. This isn't a government that facilitates espionage," Tourism Minister Mohammed Riyas clarified.
