After Israel attacked nuclear and military sites in Iran, a few Iranian officials asked, "Where's our air defence?" in private messages, the NYT reported. "How can Israel come and attack anything it wants, kill our top commanders, and we are incapable of stopping it?" the officials asked. The report added Iran didn't expect Israel to attack before Sunday.
