Karnataka government told the state High Court that over 1,000 police personnel were deployed at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday when a stampede killed at least 11 people. This comes a day after state Deputy CM DK Shivakumar claimed that 5,000 police personnel were arranged for the RCB victory celebration event. Around 50 people were injured in the stampede.
