Over 3,000 Tuvalu citizens, who account for roughly one-third of the country's population, have applied for a landmark climate visa to live in Australia amid threat of rising sea levels. Australia will offer 'climate visas' to 280 adult Tuvalu citizens every year under a climate migration deal, which Canberra termed as "first agreement of its kind anywhere in the world".
